Lesson Objectives

Introduction to QoS and QoS Implementation

  • define the main problems facing converged networks.
  • identify the factors that adversely impact QoS on a converged network and the solutions to them.
  • identify the appropriate steps for implementing quality of service (QoS) policy on a network.
  • determine broad QoS strategies for some of the problems.
  • distinguish between the methods for implementing and managing a QoS policy and identify the functions of the QoS Policy Manager (QPM).
