Overview/Description
Describe the problems that may arise in a WSS environment, how to avoid these problems, and how to monitor your servers and track usage and diagnostics, using SharePoint's various performance monitoring and logging tools, such as the Performance Console, Microsoft Operations Manager, SharePoint Central Administration, and the Event Viewer.
Target Audience
The audience for this path are administrators of Windows SharePoint Services and technologies (and the web applications built on WSS), and other technical professionals who wish to certify in or deploy Office SharePoint Services 3.0.
Prerequisites
A minimum of one-year of hands-on experience with Office SharePoint Technologies; proficiency in administering and configuring Internet Information Server (IIS), administering and configuring SQL Server 2000 or 2005 for Office SharePoint Technologies; a general understanding of Windows Server 2003 Active Directory administration, network infrastructure services, Internet Security, and Acceleration (ISA) Server, data back-up and restoration, network load balancing for applications, clustering, and ASP.NET 2.0 as it relates to Office SharePoint Services and technologies.
