Overview/Description
Success in the corporate world ultimately requires more than practical business or technical skills and knowledge. Effective working relationships and reputation are just as vital, and the key to these elements is emotional intelligence. Only with an understanding your own emotions and the emotions of those around you can you begin to develop interpersonal competence and build better relationships. The simulation Emotional Intelligence at Work is designed to provide participants with the opportunity to practice emotional intelligence skills in a secure, virtual environment. Over the course of the simulation, participants will be tested on the objectives of demonstrating emotional intelligence in the workplace, being self-aware, using self-management techniques, managing the emotions of others, and communicating with empathy. The simulation Emotional Intelligence at Work comprises three scenarios and is based on the SkillSoft Series "Emotional Intelligence at Work." Throughout the simulation, links are provided to the following SkillSoft courses: comm_25_a01_bs_enus, comm_25_a02_bs_enus, and comm_25_a03_bs_enus.
