E-mail and Internet technologies are rapid communication and information tools that spell success for any person or business that knows how to take advantage of them. However, there are dangers in the use of this advanced technology. This course outlines the pitfalls involved in using e-mail and accessing the Internet through a company's network, and the policies that are often implemented to encourage and regulate these activities. Additionally, the course contains advice on how to deal with an "e-crisis" if it occurs. This course was developed with subject matter support provided by the Labor and Employment Practice Group of the law firm of Burr & Forman LLP.
