Overview/Description
Configuring Microsoft SharePoint 2010 SCVMM is a course designed to help students develop the skills needed to implement and manage a SharePoint 2010 server environment. This course includes details how to implement or upgrade the SharePoint service correctly in a single or multi-server instance. Topics will also include how to configure additional desired features with an eye for optimization, security and performance. Management of high-availability components, disaster recovery, and proactive monitoring are also key areas in this curriculum.
Prerequisites
To benefit fully from this course, the following prerequisite courses, skills, and knowledge are strongly recommended:
Experience managing Active Directory user and group accounts and configuring Group Policy
Experience managing SQL Server 2005 or 2008 security: creating logons and assigning roles
Experience managing DNS and troubleshooting TCP/IP connectivity
Familiarity of Microsoft .NET Framework as it relates to SharePoint 2010
Familiarity with Windows PowerShell cmdlets
