This course is establishes the fundamentals of skills and knowledge necessary to implement a core Windows Server 2012 infrastructure. The course is designed to help IT professionals understand and support the technologies within Microsoft Windows Server 2012 such as File and Print Services and Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), networking services such as DNS and DHCP, and virtualization through Microsoft Hyper-V. This course is the first of three courses that will cumulatively provide the complete picture of managing a Server 2012 based network.
Prerequisites
To benefit fully from this course, students should have the following prerequisite courses/skills and knowledge:
Six months to one year of IT experience
Hands-on desktop experience with a Vista or later desktop operating system.
Strong familiarity with basic networking and security concepts
Familiarity with basic Active Directory concepts, such as user and computer accounts.
Helpful to have previous Windows Server experience.
