Overview/Description
This course is establishes the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary to implement a core Windows Server 2012 R2 infrastructure. The course is designed to help IT professionals understand and support the technologies within Microsoft Windows Server 2012 such as Server Image Management, Server Monitoring, and Update Management, intermediate User and Group management with Active Directory Domain Services(AD DS) and Group Policy, supporting remote users via Remote Access and Network Policies, and Data Security for File Servers. This course is the second of three courses that will cumulatively provide the complete picture of managing a Server 2012 R2 based network.
Prerequisites
To benefit fully from this course, students should have the following prerequisite courses/skills and knowledge:
Six months to one year of IT experience
Experience working with Windows Server 2008 or later operating systems.
Strong understanding of Active Directory infrastructure
Strong understanding of network infrastructure
Knowledge equivalent to the "Installation and Configuration of Server 2012 R2" course.
