Overview/Description
Change is daunting, even in the best case scenarios. It incites defensive resistance and raises territorial instincts, which can lead to interpersonal conflict and diminished productivity. To overcome such negative responses, managers and team leaders must shed traditional authoritarian strategies and be prepared to coach employees and team members with patience and empathy. The Using Change Process to Support Teams Simulation Simulation is designed to help managers, supervisors, and team leaders support their teams through a transitional period of change. Over the course of the simulation, participants will practice a series of team management skills, encompassing the objectives of being in tune with employees, coaching change, resolving interpersonal conflict, creating a team environment, promoting collaboration, aligning performance with change, and sustaining on-going improvement after change. The Using Change Process to Support Teams Simulation comprises three scenarios and is the second simulation based on the SkillSoft series "Using Change Process to Support Employees." Throughout the simulation, links are provided to the following SkillSoft courses: mgmt_06_a02_bs_enus and mgmt_06_a03_bs_enus.
