Overview/Description
Fundamental to virtually all supply chains are questions related to an organization's transportation and facility networks. In order to remain competitive, an organization must ensure that its transportation and facility networks are designed in such a manner as to be cost effective without sacrificing customer responsiveness. In this course, you will learn about the role of transportation in a supply chain, including modes of transportation and transportation network design and decisions. You will also learn about facility decisions and the factors that affect them, as well as the steps involved in redesigning an existing network.
