Overview/Description
Many industrial and laboratory operations require the use of compressed gases for a variety of different operations. This course will establish the needed elements for an effective compressed gas safety program. The content in this course is designed to comply with the intent of the applicable regulatory requirements.
Learner objectives for this course are to: identify the specific hazards associated with compressed gases, identify hazards associated with handling acetylene, hydrogen, and oxygen gases, identify cylinder marking requirements, specify the special storage, use, and handling precautions necessary in order to control the hazards, and identify transportation requirements.
