Overview/Description
Every project team will eventually run into problems. Most of these issues can be taken care of in the inception stages of a project team. With careful planning and foresight, the team can work together to establish ground rules, to develop together, and to create a truly synergistic project team. This course deals with methods that prevent problems before they develop. Teams change and go through stages of development, just as people do. Knowing what to expect will help you through the team's maturation processes. As the team matures, it sometimes falls victim to certain predictable pitfalls, but teams can develop cohesiveness to diminish problems. Interpersonal conflicts can create problems on a team. A little understanding and empathy can enhance the team's effectiveness and smooth tensions. In this course, you'll examine ways that teams can work together to resolve conflict. But when there are problems on the team, you'll have to know how to talk to the difficult team member in a constructive manner. In Troubleshooting for Project Teams, you'll develop the skills to deal with difficult situations, and also to prevent them in the first place.
