Overview/Description
To harness the power of Adobe Photoshop CS3's digital manipulation tools, it is first necessary to understand the fundamental concepts of selecting portions of images, and isolating image components into layers. This course introduces the new Quick Selection tool and its refinement settings, and explains other selection tools including an assortment of lasso and marquee tools and the Magic Wand tool. The course also describes layers, and demonstrates how layer arrangement allows Photoshop users to edit the contents of each layer discretely. Users can modify text, shape, and rasterized layers, and even apply layer effects such as drop shadows to individual layers.
