Overview/Description
Data networks, including the Internet, are responsible for supplying reliable, transparent communication for people and applications. Data from applications such as e-mail, web browsers and instant messaging is packaged, transported and delivered to its destination continually. The OSI model's Transport layer handles most of the addressing functions for data transmission and is responsible for end-to-end transfer of application data. This course introduces some of the main protocols that operate at the Transport layer, such as TCP, UDP, and ARP and describes the process of packet delivery.

Network administrators, network engineers, network managers, network designers, and project managers; individuals seeking the Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician (CCNET) certification and those individuals targeting the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
