Overview/Description
Cisco Unity Express is an essential component of both the Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express solutions. In a Cisco Unified Communications Manager environment, Cisco Unity Express provides local storage and processing of voice-mail and auto attendant services for the branch office, thereby alleviating WAN bandwidth and quality of service (QoS) concerns. The combination of Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express and Cisco Unity Express provides a solution that enables small- and medium-sized businesses and branch offices to deliver voice, data, and telephony services integrated on a single, router-based platform. Cisco Unity Express users can easily and conveniently manage their voice messages and greetings with intuitive telephone prompts and a straightforward GUI that allows for ease in administration. This course explains how to install Cisco Unity Express and integrate the Cisco Unity Express module with Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express. The course also introduces Cisco Unity Express Auto Attendant and voice-mail features, covering how to configure and customize the Cisco Unity Express Auto Attendant prompts. This course is one of a series from the IIUC 1.0 SkillSoft learning paths which cover the objectives for Cisco exam IIUC 640-460.
