Overview/Description
Even though traditional web applications provide users with an opportunity to utilize the capabilities of the Internet, they failed to impress users on account of their long processing times and page reloads that trigger user fatigue and frustration. Most modern day business requires handling large and complex data including rich media and images that are stored in databases. Traditional websites come up short in such scenarios. On the other hand, Rich Internet Applications enabled developers to create web applications that not only handle complex data but also provide user experience comparable to those provided by desktop applications. Adobe Flex 3 enables developers to design and build robust web applications that can be deployed consistently on all major operating systems and browsers. It extends developers' design and programming capabilities through MXML and ActionScript 3.0 programming languages. This course enables students to master the skills of creating a robust web application with special focus on the basic concepts of MXML and ActionScript 3.0 programming languages in creating Rich Internet Applications. This course is designed for application developers who want to bring the power of Rich Internet Applications to their web applications.
