Your ability as a project risk manager to identify project risks along with plans to mitigate threats and capitalize on opportunities•both on the job and through professional certification•is becoming a necessary part of project management in today's fast-paced and highly technical workplace filled with risks. In this course, you will apply the generally recognized practices of project risk management as acknowledged by the Project Management Institute (PMI®) to successfully manage risks in projects. All organizations face uncertainty in the execution of business processes. This uncertainty presents both threats and opportunities that could erode or enhance the value obtained by an organization based on the methods adopted to manage them. Enterprise-wide risk management aims to effectively deal with uncertainty and its associated threats and opportunities and looks to enhance the capacity of the organization to build value. As a risk management professional, you are expected to identify key concepts of the enterprise risk management framework that will help in successfully managing risks across the organization and build value for all stakeholders.
