Welcome to the sixth and final course in the CompTIA® Healthcare IT Technician series. Increased use of IT in the medical environment carries an increased risk of security and privacy violations. Staff that may be used to old methods could unintentionally expose patient data, or unscrupulous individuals could attempt to gain access to data. With a strong understanding of the potential risks, and how to mitigate against them, you can demonstrate the value of IT security to uninformed individuals and organizations.Now that the previous courses in the series have established the fundamental concepts concerning the healthcare industry, IT technology basics, and IT in the medical workplace, this sixth course will focus on the security requirements of medical IT.
