Welcome to the fifth course in the CompTIA® Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) series of courses. Application design and the security of applications are elements of enterprise security planning that impact users, customers, and the entire security team. Because network applications impact business functions and productivity in profound ways, securing applications is always a challenge. As an Advanced Security Practitioner, if you have a firm grasp of the design and potential security issues associated with enterprise applications, you can effectively support the design, implementation, and maintenance of the mission-critical applications that your organization develops and installs to meet business goals and objectives.Having identified how to design security solutions that are appropriate for an enterprise organzation in the previous course, this course will focus on application security and how to design, develop, and test enterprise applications and make sure they are protected from potential threats.
