Welcome to the Help Desk Fundamentals for IBM® Lotus® Domino® 7 online course. This course is intended to prepare you for your job duties as a first-level Help Desk support representative responsible for providing basic information that users need to know to complete their daily work using the IBM® Lotus Notes® client. In this job role, you will use available resources to find solutions to the most common Lotus Notes and IBM® Lotus® Domino® 7 end user errors, problems, and most frequently asked questions relating to Lotus Notes, passwords, Location and Connection documents, User Preferences, IBM® Lotus® Sametime® integration, and any other issue that can be resolved in five minutes or less.

After you complete this course, you should be able to: describe the various parts of the IBM® Lotus Notes® infrastructure and identify resources for assisting users; work with IBM® Lotus Notes® user IDs and passwords; assist users in managing and customizing the IBM® Lotus Notes® environment; assist users with basic security considerations; assist users with issues related to IBM® Lotus Notes® mail; assist users in creating mail file replicas; and assist users in using the calendaring and scheduling features of IBM® Lotus Notes®, as well as enabling IBM® Lotus® Sametime® integration.

This course is targeted to IBM® Lotus Notes® 7 power users ready to become Lotus Notes 7 first-level Help Desk support representatives.
