Overview/Description
Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 SP1 is the latest release in Microsoft's e-mail and messaging software. The core functionality of Exchange Server remains the same; however, there have been key improvements in the areas of security and compliance, unified messaging, mobile communications, reliability, and recoverability. This course discusses the new features of Exchange Server 2010 and the hardware required to support an installation. Also discussed are the steps that should be followed when planning for a new installation, from the network infrastructure to the roles various servers will perform.
Target Audience
Systems administrators, systems engineers, systems analysts, IT consultants, and support professionals with responsibility for planning, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 SP1; learners preparing for the MCTS and MCITP certification exams. A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and a working knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, and IIS, and an understanding of Internet protocols, such as POP3, IMAP4, SMTP, and HTTP may be beneficial.
