Overview/Description
This course provides instruction on recognizing hazard management, use, and control of cancer-causing agents, or carcinogens. The learning objectives of this course are to define the terms associated with carcinogen safety, recognize the routes of entry of carcinogens into the body, and identify the methods of hazard control in relation to carcinogens. Furthermore, the course describes the basic safety rules for carcinogen use, identifies the substances that can cause cancer-related medical problems after repeated exposure, explores types of carcinogen hazard control, and identifies the characteristics of Standard Operating Procedures for handling carcinogens. The course was developed and reviewed with subject matter support provided by certified subject matter experts and industry professionals.
