Overview/Description

Federal agencies have a wide range of human resource (HR) capabilities that can be used to help manage workforce challenges. The US Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is a federal government agency that helps other government agencies recruit and retain federal employees, provide with training and personal development programs, and overcome staffing challenges. The OPM also designs and implements key human resource-related polices across all government departments. This course provides an overview of the many personnel options and services available to applicants, existing employees, and managers in the federal government.
