Organizational Behavior: Dynamics of a Positive Organizational Culture
Overview/Description Target Audience Expected Duration Lesson Objectives Course Number Overview/Description
An organizational culture isn't a set of rules or standards, but rather an interactive process – a social construct that's constantly changing. It's an invisible, dynamic force that drives a company and its actions. Culture is reflected in artifacts, patterns of acceptable behavior, and shared traditions, values, policies, attitudes, structures, and beliefs within any relatively stable organization. In this course, you'll learn how to foster a positive organizational culture. You'll first learn about the characteristics of a positive workplace culture and the benefits it offers. You'll consider the elements that drive the culture of an organization, such as autonomy and the degree of structure. The course also considers how employees influence the culture and how the culture affects employee behavior. And finally, you'll learn how to apply strategies that can help cultivate a healthy and positive workplace.
