When making the move to Microsoft Windows Server Hyper-V a migration plan needs to be put in place so that the machines in a physical machine environment can be successfully migrated to a virtual environment. It is important for the organizations performing these migrations of machines onto production Hyper-V resource pools to be familiar with the different migration types.
