Overview/Description

Elastic compute cloud (EC2) instances are the names of virtual machine instances in AWS. Learning to manage EC2 instances using different platforms, tools, and features is essential in becoming a certified AWS SysOps Administrator.

In this course, you'll begin by identifying when to use EC2 virtual machine instances, before deploying Windows and Linux EC2 instances using the GUI, CLI, and PowerShell. You'll then work with EC2 instance sizing, launch scripts, and remote management and create custom Amazon machine images (AMIs) using the GUI, CLI, and PowerShell. Finally, you'll learn when and how to use AWS Config and AWS Systems Manager for various tasks.

This course is one of a collection of courses that prepares learners for the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate (SOA-CO1) exam.
