Overview/Description

Even though AWS service usage does not require a capital upfront investment, care must be taken to reduce monthly recurring AWS charges. In your role as a certified AWS SysOps Admin, monitoring and managing AWS costs and usage will be your responsibility. In this course, you'll learn how to do this effectively using AWS tools.

You'll start by configuring EC2 and RDS spot instances and reserved instances to reduce costs. Next, you'll examine AWS invoices and budgets and use AWS Cost Explorer to analyze charges through the GUI, CLI, and PowerShell. Lastly, you'll learn how to consolidate billing benefits, budget reports, and savings plans.

This course is one of a collection that prepares learners for the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate (SOA-CO1) exam.
