Overview/Description

Significantly reduced network performance or an unavailable network has severe consequences for a business's employees and end-users. Prompt and timely troubleshooting ensures that the knock-off effect of a faulty network is kept to a minimum.

To minimize this collateral damage, network technicians need to find out what the fault is, where it is, and how best to rectify it. In this course, you'll gain some of the core skills needed to efficiently and effectively diagnose, repair, and restore networking and system devices.

You'll start by investigating the purpose of service demarcation concepts and how to apply them. Next, you'll examine several network IP addressing protocols and their importance. Lastly, you'll delve into the frequently used standard networking utilities, like Telnet, SSH, TFTP, FTP, and PuTTY.

This course can be used in preparation for the 100-490: Supporting Cisco Routing and Switching Network Devices (RSTECH) exam and to attain the Cisco Certified Technician (CTT) Routing & Switching certification.
