Overview/Description

In order to take on the responsibility of troubleshooting and recovering Cisco devices, you need to be able to recognize a series of basic IOS troubleshooting commands. As a technician, you will also need to be familiar with using Windows tools to perform basic network troubleshooting tasks.

In this course, you'll learn the basic commands and tools available in Windows 10 that can help you troubleshoot network connectivity. Next, you'll explore the tasks and commands needed to upgrade the Cisco IOS. You'll examine how to perform password recovery on a Cisco device and explore additional miscellaneous tools that you may encounter when you need to troubleshoot or reconfingure a device. Finally, you'll learn how to perform a factory reset on a Cisco IOS device.

This course can be used in preparation for the 100-490: Supporting Cisco Routing and Switching Network Devices (RSTECH) exam and to attain the Cisco Certified Technician (CTT) Routing & Switching certification.
