Overview/Description

As the device age dawns, cloud servicing solutions integrate with on-premises management solutions to create the modern management infrastructure. Learners can explore account options and data security pieces of this infrastructure in this 13-video course. Key options covered here include managing devices in directories in both on-premises Active Directory (AD) environments and cloud-based Azure AD environments; managing local users accounts in the computer management console; and adding local admins from Azure AD, on-premises AD, or local Security Accounts Manager (SAM). Next, learn how to configure NT File System (NTFS) permissions; how to configure NTFS permissions inheritance and auditing; and how to configure share permissions. Learners then see how to assign combinations of permissions for security; use special identities such as built-in service accounts, local service accounts, network service accounts, and system accounts to achieve security. Learn how to configure Encrypting File System (EFS) user-based file and folder-level encryption and implement BitLocker drive encryption. Finally, learn management techniques, methods of assigning local administrators, NTFS permissions, and hardware requirements for full volume encryption. This is one course in a series to help learners prepare for the MD-100: Windows 10 certification exam.
