The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Violence Against Women Act are federal laws that require all institutions of higher learning that participate in federal financial aid programs to collect and report data about crime on and near their campuses, and to educate the campus community about violent crime. In this course, learners will become familiar with their role in helping the institution meet its campus security obligations under these laws. This course is designed to be used in conjunction with an institution's ongoing crime prevention and awareness campaigns. This course was developed with subject matter support provided by the Labor, Employment, and Employee Benefits Law Group of the law firm of Sheehan Phinney Bass & Green PA.
