The Colorado Privacy Act (CPA) establishes personal data privacy rights and directs certain companies (defined as 'controllers' under the Act) to fulfill duties related to consumers' assertion of their rights, transparency, purpose specification, data minimization, avoiding secondary use, care, avoiding unlawful discrimination, and handling of sensitive data.
