Overview/Description
Enterprises use databases to store their most critical data. To protect and ensure the data's availability, database administrators need to establish a solid backup and restoration plan. Such plans are used to protect data in the event of a disaster by allowing complete sets of duplicate data to be restored in a timely fashion. There are multiple types of backups that can be taken to ensure data can be recovered, including to the point of failure or a point-in-time recovery. This course demonstrates how to perform backup and recovery operations. This course is one of a series in the SkillSoft learning path that covers the objectives for the Microsoft SQL Server 2012 exam 70-462: Administering Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Databases.
