Overview/Description
Microsoft Windows Server 2012 builds upon features found in previous versions of Windows Server, as well as providing several new features. This course discusses the planning and installation of Windows Server 2012, including an overview of the various editions, features, minimum requirements, upgrade paths and planning server roles and, installing Server Core, migrating roles from previous versions of Windows Server, optimizing resource allocation and adding and removing features in offline images. This course also examines the configuration of Windows Server 2012, including an introduction to the default PowerShell interface and optional Windows 8 Interface. Issues such as configuring Server Core, converting Server Core to or from the full GUI interface, deploying roles on remote servers, remote server administration, how to configure services, and how to configure NIC teaming will also be covered. It is one of a series designed to prepare the learner for exam 70-410: Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012. Please note this course is based on the original Windows Server 2012 release.
