Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuration

 
Program Overview:

The Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist in Windows Server 2008 Active Directory configuration shows proficient knowledge in the deployment and migration of an Active Directory environment, including familiarity of new Group Policy features and new Active Directory server roles such as the Active Directory Federation and Active Directory Rights Management roles.

 

 

Target Audience:

The audience for this path includes administrators who are rolling out or currently supporting Windows Server 2008 Active Directory in the enterprise. The audience also includes individuals seeking certification on Microsoft’s Windows Server 2008 generation server platform.

 

 

Prerequisites:

It is recommended for candidates to have a minimum of one year of experience implementing and administering a network operating system in a medium to large enterprise environment with multiple locations and domain controllers. Considered an asset is experience with remote access, client computer management, branch office connectivity, and connecting corporate networks to the Internet.

 

 

Requirements:

Students must pass the following exam requirement to attain the Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuration certification. Completion of this exam also counts as credit towards the following exams: Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Enterprise Administrator and the Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Server Administrator certifications:
