Providing care to patients can be physically demanding. Safe patient handling can decrease injuries to health care workers and improve patient care. In this course, you'll learn about the types of patient interactions that can cause you injury. You'll also learn about ways to minimize injury when caring for a patient without mechanical assistance, and about strategies to minimize risks of injury to you and your patients.
