Overview/Description

Every year, hundreds of Canadians are killed or injured in the workplace. Part II of the Canada Labour Code is designed to make workplaces safer, outlining occupational health and safety requirements and responsibilities for federally regulated workplaces. In this course, you'll be introduced to the purpose and application of Part II of the Code, and learn about employers' and employees' rights and responsibilities under the legislation. You'll also learn about requirements for workplace health and safety committees and hazard prevention programs in federally regulated workplaces.
