The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System, or WHMIS, is a comprehensive system for providing health and safety information on the safe use of hazardous products in Canadian workplaces.
In this course, you will learn about WHMIS, including the roles and responsibilities of suppliers, employers and employees; physical and health hazards encountered in the workplace; required elements and standards of WHMIS-compliant labels and safety data sheets; and controls for eliminating or minimizing exposure to hazardous materials in the workplace.
