Overview/Description
Microsoft Windows 8.1 is the latest version of the Microsoft Windows PC desktop operating system. It includes a tablet-style user interface, as well as the more conventional Windows desktop interface. Following the initial release of Microsoft Windows 8.1, Microsoft released an update (Update 1) that included a number of new and revised features. This course will introduce learners to key features of the latest version of Windows 8.1 and demonstrate how to interact with the new UI using either mouse and keyboard or a touch screen device. The course demonstrates how to move around apps, the Start screen, and the desktop. It also covers basic customization of the Start screen and use of the Power, Shutdown and Restart options.
