Overview/Description
A key distinction between the traditional data center and the cloud data center is the concept of self-service. System Center 2012 R2 Service Manager has a dedicated self-service portal to service user requests. In this course, you'll learn about monitoring application performance in System Center 2012 R2 Operations Manager. You'll also learn about basic configuration of System Center 2012 R2 Service Manager and self-service portal. This course is one of a series of courses that prepares the learner for Microsoft exam 70-246: Monitoring and Operating a Private Cloud. This exam is part of the MCSE: Private Cloud certification track.

Target Audience
This path is targeted toward Windows Server private cloud administrators using System Center for server and cloud management. Candidates for the exam should have experience with Windows Server security, high-availability, networking and fault tolerance in an enterprise environment.
